MDCAT Biology Past Papers and Practice Questions
MDCAT Biology papers are being added to this page, so the list below may be empty for now.
Biology papers test recall of keywords, interpretation of data and diagrams, and longer written answers that need a complete chain of reasoning. Past test papers show the style of the questions and the pace of the test, which is what this page helps you practise.
The syllabus, the test format and the marking rules for MDCAT are set by the testing authority and can change from year to year, so check the latest official notice before relying on an old paper. Files are published by Medical and Dental College Admission Test (Pakistan); Trinity Tutors is an independent tutoring service and is not endorsed by or affiliated with the board.

How to Prepare for MDCAT Biology with Past Papers
Old papers are most useful for learning the format and finding weak areas in Biology. Do not assume that questions will repeat.
How to identify the paper, session and variant
MDCAT practice papers are organised by the year of the test and the subject section.
MDCAT is generally held once a year, so papers are grouped by year rather than by session.
Each file belongs to one section of the test. Use the section that matches the part you are revising.
Practise under test conditions
Set a timer for the section you are practising, answer in one sitting and avoid looking at notes. Record both your score and how long you took, since pace matters in a timed test.
Answer in the language of the question: when a command word says describe or explain, include the process and the reason.
Learn keywords in context, because mark schemes often credit a specific term and not a general description.
Read the data or diagram first, because many marks come from quoting figures; then write answers with one point per mark available.
Checking your answers
No mark schemes have been added for Biology yet. Until they are, ask your teacher to check your work or look for the matching mark scheme on MDCAT's website.
Compare the key terms in the mark scheme with your own wording, and check how many separate points a question expects.
Typical slips are an answer that is true but not specific enough, missing the comparative word in a comparison, and describing when the question asks for an explanation.
Keep an error log and plan your revision
After each paper, write down every lost mark in a log. Record whether a mark was lost because a keyword was missing, an explanation stopped halfway, data was not quoted, or the command word was misread.
Then turn the log into a short weekly plan: choose two or three topics, revise them from your notes, and test them with fresh questions. Spread the papers you have across several weeks instead of attempting them all at once.
A good week pairs one paper with a keyword review of the topics you missed, followed by rewriting two long answers from memory.
Revise by body system or topic, then use topic questions to practise writing complete, point-by-point answers.

No. This page lists only the files that have been added so far, and some sessions may be missing. For the full official list, use MDCAT's own website.

No. The papers are published by Medical and Dental College Admission Test (Pakistan). Trinity Tutors is an independent tutoring service and is not endorsed by or affiliated with the board, and it cannot promise any particular grade or result.
How detailed should Biology answers be?
Match the marks available: one clear, specific point for each mark, using the keywords from the syllabus. A mark scheme shows what a single credited point looks like.
