Frequently Asked Questions

Can I resit individual IAL units?

In many subjects yes, but the rules depend on the specification and on the year. Check the specification and ask the exam centre.

How is IAL graded?

Results are reported A* to E. Units are scored on a uniform mark scale and combined for the qualification, so read the grading section of your specification.

Where do I find IAL past papers?

Search by the unit code in our past-paper library. Question papers, mark schemes and examiner reports share the same unit code.
