Early years and primary

Early years

Play-based learning that prepares young children for school.

About Early years

Typical ages
Usually ages 3 to 5

In the early years children learn through play, stories, songs and simple routines. Tutoring at this stage is gentle and short: building early language, familiarity with letters and numbers, and the confidence to separate from a parent and take part in a group.
